Abstract
The paper explores the meter-to-cash lifecycle, encompassing the provision of utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and wastewater to customers, along with the associated payment process. The study delves into the various steps of this lifecycle, offering insights for utilities and emphasizing the potential for process enhancement and improved customer experience through the utilization of SAP (System Application and Product). Specifically, SAP for Utilities, a specialized solution within the SAP ERP portfolio, has played a transformative role in revolutionizing the management of utilities, addressing challenges in electricity, gas, and water sectors. Furthermore, the research paper introduces the advanced functionality of SAP for Utilities, specifically SAP S/4 HANA. It focuses on addressing the problems associated with the periodic revenue cycle, encompassing metering, billing, payment, and collection for utility companies. The paper not only identifies these challenges but also proposes and implements solutions provided by SAP S/4 HANA, aiming to contribute to the refinement and optimization of revenue cycles within the utility sector.Keywords:
