Abstract
The paper explains that the Gauss's law is a direct consequence of the law of conservation of energy. Based on the physical meaning of the Gauss's law, it becomes clear that the consequence of the Gauss's law for a field source with a spherically symmetric spatial distribution of its main characteristic (mass for the gravitational field and charge for an electric field) about the potential distribution of a vector field outside the field source, inside the volume the field source and in its concentric cavity, adopted in vector analysis, is incorrect. Keywords:
