Abstract

The development of information technology (IT) is one of the technologies that has had the biggest influence on architecture. The Computer-aided design software was developed to assist architects in the conceptualization of design concepts for architectural projects. Second, to produce any form or shape and realize the architects' distinctive design, better construction equipment and techniques were developed. Thirdly, the development of new materials has improved our understanding of architecture. This paper will examine the field of architecture, as well as the implications and effects of technology on the built environment. Architecture has been impacted by technology in a number of ways. This paper presents the three topics: information technology (IT), the influence of IT on architecture, and how Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid had employed technology to create their distinctive architectural forms during the building design and construction phases.
