Abstract

Environmental audit is a concept which is significant with the development of industrial standards and environmental legislation. Proper guidance is required for both auditor and the auditee on the management, organization and content of the environmental audit. This paper examines the approaches to environmental auditing, the need and importance of environmental auditing, how environmental auditing can be conducted in an organization, what are the benefits of an organization which can be achieved through environmental audit.
