Gingival overgrowth is one of most frequently encountered lesion of oral cavity. Most of them are innocuous and arise due to localised irritation. They are termed broadly as “Epulis”. Peripheral ossifying fibroma is one of them with considerable variation regarding its nomenclature and etiopathogenesis.
