Vietnam is known as an agricultural country with a long-standing tradition in Southeast Asia. Its unique geographical position and millennia-long history of nation building and defense have endowed the Vietnamese people with a distinct cultural identity and a strong spirit of self-reliance and resilience. Within the overall structure of Vietnamese culture, clan culture holds a significant position. Each developmental stage of Vietnam, both in the past and present, bears the distinct imprint of clan culture. Clan and clan culture have become a cultural entity that is present and significantly influences Vietnamese history and culture. This study will focus on clarifying the theoretical and practical issues surrounding clan culture in Vietnam.
