Abstract

Rosacea is a chronic, progressive, inflammatory disease manifested by recurrent course, erythema, telangiectasia, papules or pustules on the central part of the face. Currently, the etiology and pathogenesis of rosacea are not fully understood, and treatment requires improvements. Currently, there is a growing interest in the entire interleukin family - in the pathophysiology of many human diseases, including skin diseases. Several studies have been devoted to the study of IL-17 in rosacea patients, but the results of these studies are contradictory to each other. With this in mind, this article will focus on the key role of interleukin 17 (IL-17) in the development and progression of the disease based on our own research conducted.
