Abstract

With the development of era, Chinese government pays increasingly more attention to the improvement of innovation ability. Under the guidance of the government, the number of patents in China has exploded in recent years. However, the increase of the patents number does not necessarily imply the improvement of the value. Many scholars focus on the evaluation of patent value. This paper provides a review of Chinese patent value evaluation methods including the traditional and emerging approaches as well as other modern mainstream methods. Some suggestions are further proposed.
