The design and manufacture of bend testing machine for testing the properties of materials is addressed by several reputable companies. However, their portfolios include commonly used devices with a similar design [1,2]. However, determination of the residual stresses by the MTS-3000 Ring-Core system requires atypical measurement conditions, so it is not possible to use a commonly produced and available bend testing machine. For this reason, there was a need to design a bend testing machine that would meet all the required measurement conditions.
