This laboratory provides students a basic approach to bioconjugation experiments, a topic which is not typically covered in didactical laboratories. Students are required to characterize a fluorescent probe as well as a protein and then to perform a bioconjugate experiment. The resulting marked protein is characterized by means of UV-Vis spectroscopy.
