abstract={It is a common goal for runners to improve their run times. This short report compares 1-mile times for a route that was run at two different times, five weeks apart in a Fleet Feet training program. A paired t test for 62 runners indicated an average improvement of 1 minute, 15 seconds which was statistically significant (p < 0.0001). This evidence indicates that the training program was effective for this group in improving their 1-mile run times over a 5-week period.},
