abstract={This study aimed to investigate the impact an intervention targeting emotional self-regulation skills had on young children and their attention and self-control. Seventeen preschool children participated in a ten-week intervention that provided explicit instruction in emotional self-regulation, presented in a developmentally appropriate manner. Results indicated that the intervention had measurable effects on both attention and demonstrable self-control skills.},
