abstract={Environmental risks associated with water and soil pollution are considered great threats to the ecological system. Environmental quality and ecological integrity demand unity of effort and approach to ensuring safe one health system. Several approaches have been developed to ameliorate the impact of heavy metals and toxic chemical pollutants in the environment. The review is aimed to report existing knowledge on microbe-mediated nanomaterials synthesis and biofunctionalized processes for a sustainable, effective and advantageous bioremediation technique for heavy metals, hydrocarbons and chemicals. Nanobioremediation has become an emerging field ensuring complete removal/clean-up of polluted soil and water bodies, thereby improving environmental health. It becomes highly recommendable that large scale applications of these methods are full of potential in repairing and restoring the ecological space thus, creating a sustainable environment. Therefore, there is a need in the progressive improvement, development and devise of new and sustainable microbe-nanotechnology-based methods for the effective restoration of the ecological system.},
