<abstract language="eng">Educational reforms of French colonialism in the 19th century in Indochina Peninsula aimed at the goals of dominated country¡¯s rule, through the formation of educational systems according to the degree of domination achieved by French colonialists. Consequently, in Vietnamese society, there appeared a hierarchy of western intellectuals, an elite product of history, paving the way for the development of the Vietnamese intellectual class later.</abstract>
