The present article describes the main features of a two-stage model of teacher training in and during the years 2006-2013. This time was sufficient enough for the basic training of future teachers, and this model continues to work today. In , the reduction in undergraduate training to 3 years resulted in a decline in the quality of training; the two-stage model also resulted in significant reduction of students at teacher training. This led to criticism of experts and the shift to a new model of teacher training with the scheme 4 + 1 and 5 + 1, the implementation of which was provided in 2013.
