abstract={Liver resection is the golden-standard treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma. The extent of liver resection is a balance between complete removal of tumor and the maximum preservation of tumor-free hepatic parenchyma. Bisegmentecomy 7-8 can be an alternative choice to more extensive liver resections if a thick inferior right hepatic vein (IRHV) occurs. This review briefly describes the conception of inferior right hepatic vein (IRHV) and its significant role in live hepatectomy and other clinical practice.},
