    <abstract language="eng">Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) can prevent tumor progression in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma awaiting liver transplantation. This article introduces the effect of TACE before liver transplantation in terms of dropout rate, improvement in overall survival, prediction of survival, and its application as down-stage therapy.</abstract>
