abstract={This paper is the result of the investigation of the potential of a local gin, brewed in Nigeria from palm tree liquor juice, for compressive strength improvement and as an admixture in concrete and cement mortar. It was observed from the analysis of the results of the experiment that 5 ¨C 10% of the local gin also called ˇ°ogogoroˇ± increases the compressive strength of concrete and acts as an admixture (accelerator and retarder at various concentrations) in both concrete and mortar respectively.},
