The participants of the study were 15-year-old Amerindian students who lived in an isolated village in the Amazonian forest in Guiana. Our study emphasized an interactionist approach and used the KITLoK model to examine the content, quality and frequency of exchanges in an interactive learning situation. The results showed an evolution of written output, whereas did not indicate any significant change in oral participation.
