abstract={The biodegradation of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) and its polymer blend polylactic acid (PLA-PHB) have been extensively studied. The degradation of the polymer has been studied using two different methods. The soil burial degradation test and degradation in liquid media. This study revealed that complete degradation could be achieved on the 90th day. The morphology and structure of the degrading biopolymer was analyzed through scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The microorganisms involved in the degradation have been isolated and identified.},
