abstract={Measurement of indoor radon and thoron levels in the indoor dwellings has a great impact on the health of people residing there .Exposure to high concentration of radon, thoron and their decay products for prolonged duration may lead to serious health problems. The present paper is an attempt to detect the levels of above mentioned radioactive gases with their progenies in the dwellings of Trans ¨CYamuna region. The research was conducted in winter season in 50 dwellings of Trans ¨C Yamuna region. To calculate and study the results International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) guidelines were followed. Results show the concentration of radon, thoron and their progeny Trans-Yamuna region was under safety limits.},
