Special Issue Information

Advances on techniques of fixed point theory for investigation of weakly Picard operators and their applications do not seem to emphasize on improvement of Banach orbital condition with a view on unification of the classes of almost contractions and quasicontractions. This results in not much emphasis in approximations of fixed points in convex metric space - theory of which is based on the geometry of geodesics and has deeper and extensive applicability since real world models where convexity is often independent of linearity considerations are predominant. This special issue is aimed at motivating research communications which concentrate on ideas which improves the Banach orbital condition or relate fixed point theory and its applications with geodesic properties of the ambient space. The special issue invites papers on fixed point theory and applications and papers on geometry of geodesics together with communications of related results involving both notions with applications. Emphasis is on contributions which depend more on convexity or digraphs than on linearity concerns with diverse applications. Computational and number theoretic approaches would be of advantage.
