Applied Ecology and Environmental Sciences
A Special Issue on “Environmental Microbiology and its Social Implications” is an international journal that seeks to publish papers aimed at addressing significant issues related to Environmental Microbiology, its various implications and problems, contributing towards addition of new concepts, trends and knowledge to Science. This special issue is being launched with an aim of highlighting research related to Environment and its implications in various fields, hoping to lead towards a cleaner and safer environment for the health and well being of our future generations and the life around us. High quality papers are encouraged, for publication, that are directly related to various aspects of the environment, social, financial, clinical and psychological implications, biological and ecological effects on human health, parameters and results related to measurement of air, water and soil pollution and climate change. Novel techniques for the study and measurement of pollution are encouraged. Research papers, Meta Analyses papers, Modeling papers, Critical review papers, News & Views from Research and Technology and Letters to the Editor will be welcomed. The international and interdisciplinary profile of the journal and appropriate peer review as well as refereeing procedures will be maintained and safe guarded by the editors.The Editors welcome the following contributions: •Full research papers: with observations and results from scientific investigations •Review papers: with critical reviews of subjects and topics included •Comments: Opinions, concerns, questions about subjects and topics included in the journal •Letters to the Editor: in order to discuss issues or concerns about subjects and topics included in the journal and initiate correspondence

PhACs represent an emerging environmental problem due to their disposal into the aquatic ecosystem, even at Minimum Inhibitory Concentrations (MICs) and increasing of microbial resistance that has occurred as one of the eminent public health concerns of the 21st century. Therefore, the special issue will review the new technologies for removal of PhACs from water and wastewater. Besides prevalence of antimicrobial resistance among pathogenic bacteria in non-clinical environment.
